Info prior to event:
The next competition is held over two days; 14-15 April. The event is advertised as the La Valette Annual Show but is actually an All Clubs Show, meaning it is arranged in cooperation by the 4 clubs arranging competitions [those being LVRC, SRC, PRC and MRC]. The two-day show is being held at La Valette in Marsa.
Riders who are registered as competitive members with any of the above clubs pay normal entry fees. While all riders in Malta are welcome to take part, anyone else pay double fees.
On Saturday 14 April, there will be Dressage judged by an International judge. Horse/Rider combinationas are welcome to take part in TWO consecutive classes and horses can take part up to THREE times but a horse can only take part three times of at least one of the entries is at introductory level (walk and trot only).
The tests being used for the competition are the same tests used for the competition in Maghtab in January, apart from the Introductory test, which as been replaced with a new test. Click on links below to download the tests. The British Dressage-link includes Preliminary, Elementary and Medium (all three tests).
On Sunday 15 April, there is Show Jumping. A Horse/Rider combination can take part TWICE in consecutive classes. A horse can take part in TWO rounds of showjumping while a rider can ride as many rounds they like on different horses.
STARTING TIMES are 13:00 for the dressage and 11:00 for the jumping.
